I've taken pictures in some pretty extraordinary places (including 15 different countries!).

I lived for over a year in central China, and I tip my hat to anybody who has learned Chinese as a foreigner. Before that, I lived in Romania absorbing their beautiful language and culture.

I think those experiences influence my photography. I love capturing that sense of place that comes from unique scenery, ancient traditions, defining moments, and above all, the deep connections that exist among people.

I love cooking and having friends over to my house. I read books by dead guys to get their perspective on a world that, turns out, hasn't really changed very much. I love Jesus. I'm into thinking big thoughts and telling indirect jokes.

AND I'm the tallest photographer at our studio by 8 inches.
