The Creek Club at I’On sits right on the marsh in Mount Pleasant, tucked beneath live oaks with a long dock stretching out over the creek. It feels very Charleston without trying particularly hard to prove it.

One of the best things about photographing weddings here is how much is packed into one property. Ceremonies under the trees, portraits along the boardwalk and marsh, cocktail hour on the porch, then everyone straight inside for dinner and dancing. You can make a lot of different pictures without disappearing from your own wedding for an hour.

Inside, the Creek Club is warm and simple: wood floors, brick, tall windows, and doors opening back onto the porch. Outside is where it really shows off. The marsh changes constantly with the tide and weather, and sunset can turn the dock into one of the best portrait spots in Mount Pleasant.
