The Citadel Beach Club sits right on the beach at Isle of Palms, with a big lawn for ceremonies, dunes and ocean just beyond it, and an indoor reception space that actually feels like a proper ballroom.

That combination is what makes it work so well. You can get married outside without putting everyone in the sand, walk straight out to the beach for portraits, then bring everyone inside for dinner and dancing.

The ballroom has soaring wood ceilings, round windows, and enough character to feel distinctive without needing much help. Outside, the dunes, palmettos, and open shoreline give you a lot to work with, especially around sunset.

It’s a very Charleston kind of venue: beachy without being too casual, traditional without feeling stuffy, and everything you need is right there.
